• M. Knight, Sissel, Keller, J. Knight and Villanueva all set G.I.S.L. marks at Fort Dodge event

The Brooklyn Aquatics Club (BAC) completed another successful swim season.

This year the team swam in the newly formed Greater Iowa Swim League with eleven other teams, including Knoxville, Pella and Grinnell.

The more than 30 BAC swimmers, coached by Kay Knight and Jennifer Cline, competed well throughout the season and enjoyed hosting three home swim meets.

To conclude the season, 23 BAC swimmers competed in the state swim meet in Fort Dodge on Feb. 26-27.

The following swimmers now hold G.I.S.L. state records in individual events: Meredith Knight, Paris Sissel, Marissa Keller, Jayce Knight and Miguel Villanueva.

Meredith Knight also received the high point award in the 13-14 girls division by winning all of her individual events.

Zane Winter and Amanda Johnson were nominated and named members of the G.I.S.L. All-State Team due to their sportsmanship and work ethic throughout the swim season.

Amanda was voted on by other team coaches as the G.I.S.L. All-State team captain.
