OWI
Jared N. Dhondt, 34, Williamsburg, and Richard A. Alardin, 20, Marengo, each pleaded guilty to a charge of OWI.
Dhondt was sentenced to 48 hours in jail, fined $1,250 and ordered to enroll in and complete a drinking driver’s course. In lieu of the jail sentence and drinking driver’s course, Dhondt may attend the Kirkwood Community College 48-hour OWI program.
Alardin was granted a deferred sentence, placed on probation for one year and assessed a civil penalty of $1,250.
Daniel C. Werning, 20, Belle Plaine, pleaded guilty to a charge of OWI. He was sentenced to 48 hours in jail and fined $1,250. One-half, or $625, of the fine will be waived if the defendant installs an ignition interlock device in his vehicle.
DRIVING WHILE SUSPENSED/REVOKED/BARRED
Justin J. Schrader, 18, Walford, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while his license was revoked. He was sentenced to 48 hours in jail and fined $1,000.
Allen L. Seeman, 46, Center Point, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while his license was barred. He was sentenced to 14 days in jail and fined $625.
NOT GUILTY PLEAS
The following defendants pleaded not guilty and were ordered to stand trial April 17.
• Nicholas A. Himmelsbach, 30. Marengo, is charged with assault causing bodily injury.
• Christopher G. Riley, 28, Marengo, is charged with possession of a controlled substance (marijuana).
• Aaron M. Gray, 40, Las Vegas, Nev., is charged with possession of a controlled substance (marijuana), second offense.
• Ann C. Erickson-George, 43, Marengo, is charged with OWI.
The following defendants entered not guilty pleas and had trial dates set for April 24.
• Deon D. Nunn, 20, Davenport, and Brandon M. Volz, 18, Iowa City, each are charged with possession of a controlled substance (marijuana).
• Misty J. Shaw, 33, North English, is charged with fourth-degree theft.
• Toby L. Simmons, 45, Farragut, is charged with operating a commercial vehicle while disqualified.
• Gavin R. Schwochow, 45, Batavia, is charged with domestic abuse assault, second offense.
ARRAIGNMENTS SET
Arraignment was set for Jan. 23 for Chad R. Evans, 38, Williamsburg, and Victor N. Milligan, 30, Marengo. Evans is charged with second-degree criminal mischief and assault on a peace officer. Milligan is charged with public intoxication, second offense.
