An unidentified construction worker was severely injured in an accident at Benda Ag Service north of Vining late Monday afternoon.
Tama County Sheriff Dennis Kucera said the man sustained a severe head injury at approximately 4:39 p.m. Jan. 30. when he fell from a ladder onto a piece of rebar sticking from the ground.
The man, reportedly of Belle Plaine, was airlifted to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
A hospital spokeswoman had no information on the possible victim Wednesday morning.
The Elberon Fire Department, Elberon ambulance, Dysart ambulance and Tama County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident.
